What Does Snow Removal Cost in Clarksburg?

The price depends on the size and shape of the area, the slope, how much shoveling is involved, and whether salt is included. A short flat driveway in town is quick. A long gravel driveway up a hill with a walk and porch steps takes longer and needs more care. Deeper storms take more time, so many agreements set a snow depth that triggers a visit and a higher rate past a certain depth. You can pay per visit, or sign a seasonal agreement. We'll walk through both when we give you an estimate, along with exactly what's included.

What Sets the Price

Snow removal is priced by the size and slope of the driveway or lot, the amount of shoveling, whether salt is included, and how deep the snow gets. A short flat driveway costs less than a long climbing one with walks and steps.

Per-Visit or Seasonal

Per-visit agreements bill each time we clear your property. Seasonal agreements set one price for the winter. Most agreements also set a trigger depth for when we come out and explain how deep storms are handled.

What's Included

Your written agreement lists the areas cleared, where snow is piled, salting, the trigger depth, and how to reach us. Roof snow removal, snow hauling off site, and repairs to damaged surfaces aren’t included.
Driveway Snow Removal pricing and scope

Driveway plowing for flat, steep, paved, and gravel driveways, with the snow pushed where it won't cause problems.

Driveway plowing is priced by the length and width of the driveway, the slope, whether it’s paved or gravel, and how much space there is to put the snow. A long climbing driveway takes more time than a short flat one. Deeper storms may cost more per visit, and agreements usually say at what depth that applies.

Sidewalk, Step & Porch Shoveling pricing and scope

Hand shoveling of front walks, porch steps, side paths, and the city sidewalk in front of your property.

Shoveling is priced by the length of walkway, the number of steps, and how far the walks are from where we park. A front walk and three porch steps take far less time than a long side path, a back stair, and the sidewalk along a corner lot.

Small Commercial Snow Removal pricing and scope

Plowing and salting for small business lots, churches, offices, and rental properties.

Commercial snow removal is priced by lot size, the number of entrances and walkways, salt use, and the timing you need. A lot that has to be clear by 6 a.m. every day is planned differently than one cleared after the storm ends. Most commercial customers choose a seasonal agreement.

Salting & Ice Control pricing and scope

Salting and de-icing for driveways, walks, steps, and lots, especially after freeze-thaw nights.

Salting is priced by the area treated and the amount of material used. A short walk and steps use far less than a sloped driveway and a parking lot. It can be included in a seasonal agreement or added per visit.

Seasonal Snow Plans pricing and scope

Seasonal and per-visit snow removal agreements so your property is on the route when it snows.

There are two common ways to pay. A per-visit agreement bills each time we clear the property. A seasonal agreement is a set price for the winter, which makes budgeting simple whether the season is heavy or light. We’ll explain both, along with how deep storms are handled, during the estimate.

What changes the price?

  • Project size, quantity, and current condition
  • Access for people, vehicles, and equipment
  • Preparation, protection, materials, and disposal
  • Urgency, scheduling, permits, or special site constraints

What should the estimate include?

A useful estimate identifies the proposed work, important exclusions, price, preparation requirements, cleanup expectations, and what conditions could legitimately change the scope.

The written estimate sets the price. Every property is priced after the estimate, so this page explains what moves the number instead of quoting one.

How to compare two estimates

Check whether both proposals describe the same preparation, materials, quantities, access plan, protection, cleanup, disposal, and finished result. A lower number may omit work included in another proposal. Ask for clarification before treating totals as directly comparable.

Preparing for an estimate

Make the affected area reasonably accessible, gather photographs or prior paperwork when available, and identify the result you want. Mention deadlines, active damage, safety concerns, pets, tenants, gates, parking, or utility conflicts when scheduling.

Changes after work begins

Conditions hidden behind finishes, below grade, inside equipment, or within an existing assembly may not be visible beforehand. Ask how discoveries will be documented, priced, and approved. Additional work should not be treated as automatic merely because a project has started.
